BEFORE YOU SETTLE IN

At CDG, “Terminal 2” is not a precise enough location. YOTELAIR is in Terminal 2E, Hall L, inside the restricted transit area. It is not accessible to every CDG passenger.

THE CDG DETAILS

A 2E transit room is not a general CDG sleep solution

YOTELAIR can be useful for an eligible itinerary in 2E, but it should not be presented as a universally accessible option for anyone spending a night at Charles de Gaulle.

Your itinerary stays within the eligible area

Check the operator’s onward boarding-pass conditions and the route to the Instant Paris area in Hall L. Confirm the room window and time needed to leave for the next departure; cabin baggage arrangements matter.

Your departure is from another terminal

Do not assume that an airport-branded room can be reached from T1, T2F or T3. Ask the property whether the actual itinerary qualifies. If it does not, investigate a landside option only after checking entry and return requirements.

Your arrival or departure is overnight

Review the shuttle hours in the arrival instructions before booking. If the route depends on LISA outside its listed operating span, obtain a workable alternative from the operator rather than inventing a walking connection.

For terminal seating, this guide does not guarantee a particular quiet area or overnight access. Ask airport staff what is available in the area your itinerary allows.

CDG ↔ Orly · another airport

Rail connections or a road transfer
Transfer details

Orly is not a CDG terminal. Public transport combines airport rail or metro services: CDG is served by RER B, while Orly is served by Metro 14 and Orlyval. Use the regional journey planner for your date and exact terminal; include interchange walks, baggage and the next check-in deadline. A road route is available below as an alternative, subject to traffic.

Free CDGVAL automated train
Transfer details

CDGVAL connects T1, PR parking, Roissypole, PX parking and T2. RATP lists trains from 04:00 to 01:00 and a bus replacement overnight. The Roissypole stop serves the T3 area; allow for the walk. CDGVAL is different from the restricted-area transfer route between 2E halls.

Use a separate route for airside connections

Terminal 2G needs another leg

N2 shuttle from 2F on the public side
Transfer details

RATP lists a free N2 shuttle between 2F and 2G. Reaching the CDGVAL Terminal 2 stop does not put you at 2G. Keep the full terminal and hall on your plan, then use your airline’s connecting-flight instructions if staying airside.

Baggage

Storage is near the Terminal 2 rail station

Bagages du Monde lists luggage storage in the Terminal 2 TGV/RER station area, opposite the Sheraton. Use the operator’s current directions and airport signs: its published pages differ on the level number. Check opening and collection times before a Paris visit, and allow time to retrieve your luggage before security.

Accessibility

Air France connections with mobility needs

Air France’s SAPHIR programme supports passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility. The airline asks for assistance requests when booking, at least 48 hours before departure, through its website or dedicated phone service. Include the CDG connection and any terminal change in your request; passengers on another carrier should arrange support with their own airline.

01

Where to sleep at CDG

YOTELAIR offers a restricted-area room option at 2E L. It is intended for eligible transit itineraries with cabin baggage. If you need to reclaim luggage or depart elsewhere, check access with the hotel first.

02

A seat, a lounge or a room?

A lounge buys facilities and a quieter place to sit; it does not automatically include a bed. A room is the more predictable option for privacy. For terminal seating, ask staff which areas you may use overnight rather than assuming the entire airport stays accessible.

  • Use the table above to match your departure area to a real facility.
  • Confirm your booking covers your actual arrival time, not just the calendar date.
  • Keep medication, charging cables and a light layer in cabin baggage.
04

Plan the wake-up, not just the bedtime

Work backwards from the airline’s gate deadline. Include the walk, any transfer and checks after leaving the room. Set two alarms, secure your documents and check the flight screens again when you wake.

A few useful answers

What is the most common booking mistake at CDG?

YOTELAIR is at 2E Hall L, not in a public hotel zone. The operator’s arrival instructions and boarding-pass conditions determine whether you can reach it.

Can I use facilities in another terminal?

Keep the full terminal and hall designation for both flights. Terminal 2E includes K, L and M halls. Use the airport’s flight-connection instructions rather than walking toward a hotel based on its airport address.

Are opening hours and prices guaranteed?

No. Use the airport or operator’s current information for your travel date. Prices, availability and access rules may change.

Can I leave the airport during my connection?

A Paris excursion needs permission to enter France and a complete return plan. Check the airport’s ground-transport updates for your date; do not base the decision on a typical train time alone.
