At CDG, “Terminal 2” is not a precise enough location. YOTELAIR is in Terminal 2E, Hall L, inside the restricted transit area. It is not accessible to every CDG passenger.
Your airport, at a glance
Location and access come first. These are researched options, not an exhaustive directory. Use the linked operator for current availability and prices.
| Place & location | Access | Before you book |
|---|---|---|
| Extime Lounge Terminal 1 international / Terminal 2B–2D | Airside | Book the correct terminal location. Check your boarding pass, visit duration and shower conditions on the operator’s site. |
| YOTELAIR Paris Charles de Gaulle Terminal 2E · Hall L · Instant Paris area | Airside | Eligible 2E itineraries only; cabin baggage. Confirm your specific access and arrival time with the hotel. |
Your connection, step by step
- 1Arrival terminal / hall
- 2Follow your onward terminal signs
- 3Required shuttle & checks
- 4Departure hall & gate
Schematic process, not a terminal map. Your airline’s itinerary-specific instructions take priority.
Official access & transfer instructions“Terminal 2” is only the beginning of the address
At Paris Charles de Gaulle, retain the complete designation from the boarding pass. The difference between 2E, its K/L/M halls and another Terminal 2 building can change the entire plan.
Keep the hall letter
YOTELAIR is associated with 2E Hall L. A booking that merely says “CDG Terminal 2” does not establish access. Ask whether your actual arrival and onward boarding pass permit the route to that hall.
Separate a public transfer from an airside one
The signs and transport you need depend on whether you remain in a connecting-passenger route or enter the public area. Do not follow a public terminal map as if it were an airside transfer instruction.
Pick one accessible base
With cabin bags or children, choose a rest or food stop after identifying the departure hall. A facility elsewhere in the airport can consume more time in movement and checks than it gives back in comfort.
Record the complete terminal/hall for both flights before choosing any hotel or lounge. This is more useful than a generic “near CDG” search.
Terminals & airport transfers
Choose the route for your itinerary. Public road directions do not describe restricted airport corridors.
CDG ↔ Orly · another airport
Rail connections or a road transferOrly is not a CDG terminal. Public transport combines airport rail or metro services: CDG is served by RER B, while Orly is served by Metro 14 and Orlyval. Use the regional journey planner for your date and exact terminal; include interchange walks, baggage and the next check-in deadline. A road route is available below as an alternative, subject to traffic.
T1 ↔ Roissypole / T3 ↔ T2
Free CDGVAL automated trainCDGVAL connects T1, PR parking, Roissypole, PX parking and T2. RATP lists trains from 04:00 to 01:00 and a bus replacement overnight. The Roissypole stop serves the T3 area; allow for the walk. CDGVAL is different from the restricted-area transfer route between 2E halls.
Terminal 2G needs another leg
N2 shuttle from 2F on the public sideRATP lists a free N2 shuttle between 2F and 2G. Reaching the CDGVAL Terminal 2 stop does not put you at 2G. Keep the full terminal and hall on your plan, then use your airline’s connecting-flight instructions if staying airside.
Know before you settle in
Storage is near the Terminal 2 rail station
Bagages du Monde lists luggage storage in the Terminal 2 TGV/RER station area, opposite the Sheraton. Use the operator’s current directions and airport signs: its published pages differ on the level number. Check opening and collection times before a Paris visit, and allow time to retrieve your luggage before security.

Air France’s SAPHIR programme supports passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility. The airline asks for assistance requests when booking, at least 48 hours before departure, through its website or dedicated phone service. Include the CDG connection and any terminal change in your request; passengers on another carrier should arrange support with their own airline.
