Turkish Airlines offers Touristanbul for eligible international-to-international connections at IST. Start with the airline’s eligibility check rather than a sightseeing itinerary.
A 6–24 hour connection is only the starting point
The advertised connection window is 6–24 hours. Your actual arriving and departing flights must fit an available tour. Do not infer that any passenger at IST with six hours can join.
Match the ticket and tour conditions
Use the airline’s current rules for the booking, flight operation and reservation requirements. Check the selected tour’s return time against your departure and confirm that you can enter Türkiye. A booking reference is not itself permission to cross the border.
Keep an airside fallback
If the inbound flight is late or the tour no longer fits, switch to a terminal plan: a meal, a lounge or an eligible YOTELAIR room. Avoid trying to reproduce an organised itinerary independently in a shorter remaining window.
Tour and hotel/stopover benefits have separate terms. Confirm the actual programme you are using before assuming that accommodation or transport is included.

Check the operator for the stop at IST, current departures and fare. Budget for immigration, baggage reclaim, the wait for transport, variable road traffic and a fresh check-in at the other airport. Do not treat the driving estimate as the whole connection time.

Follow the international or domestic transfer signs for your onward flight; a domestic connection changes your border-control requirements. Turkish Airlines identifies two left-luggage offices in the Arrivals Meeters & Greeters Hall and electronic lockers in the Departures check-in area.
